Lolita Dickinson
Artist
Pottery by Lolita Dickinson is individually hand built using pieces of clay, and stamped with organic and inorganic materials and then meld together to form interesting shapes. Materials vary from lichen, tree bark, fern, and old buttons to modern stamps.
In addition, drawing, sculpturing and carving are techniques used in the process. Pottery details and random forms are designed to inspire timeless wonder about the cycle of life in nature. They are finished in stains and soft colors chosen to enhance the particular character of each piece.
